What is skydiving like?
Skydiving is unlike anything else in this world. When you arrive at our dropzone, you will be fitted with a jumpsuit and harness. You will receive a 30 minute one-on-one training from a certified tandem instructor. During this time you will have an opportunity to ask questions, and will be given a detailed description of what to expect during your jump. After your training, you and your instructor will load the plane.
During the plane ride, you will have a stunning view of Canon City, Pikes Peak, the Royal Gorge, and the San Juan Mountains. Once you reach an altitude of approximately 10,500 feet, you and your instructor will exit the airplane. Ten seconds after you leave the plane, you will reach a terminal velocity of 120 mph! After a 45 second free fall, the instructor will deploy the parachute. Once the parachute is open, the two of you will steer the parachute to a nice soft landing on the ground.
